This statement applies to all subcontractors that are funded by the Education and Skills Funding Agency.

Our Responsibilities
Delivery
Engineering Trust Training Ltd (ETT) subcontracts learners to colleges and Independent Training Providers (ITPs) for the delivery of specific Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4 qualifications.
ETT remains fully accountable for the delivery of each apprentice’s programme and closely monitors the quality of subcontracted provision in order to maintain and improve standards.
ETT also ensures that best practice is adopted by its subcontractors and endeavours to support them in delivering high-quality apprenticeships and qualifications.

Delivery Partners
Colleges and ITPs
Rationale for Subcontracting
ETT subcontracts the provision of Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4 qualifications to colleges and ITPs. We do this to enable the businesses that choose us as their training provider to access local provision for the qualifications required as part of an apprenticeship programme.
Employers approach ETT to benefit from our high-quality in-company training, support and assessment, while also ensuring their apprentice can access college-based training close to their home.
This enhances the opportunities available to learners and supports improved geographical access, rather than requiring apprentices to travel outside their region for their release to a college setting.
Funding Example
Level 3 Engineering Fitter Standard
Example total programme funding of £21,000 over a 36-month programme.
Retained by ETT
Administration, management of apprentice progress, management of employer training, and delivery and assessment of the in-company competency qualification.

- Organisation and management of EPA
- English and maths delivery
- One-to-one apprentice reviews every four weeks
- Ongoing support between review meetings
Subcontracted College Provision
Delivery of the Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering.
This provision consists of one day per week over two academic terms.
End-Point Assessment
Funding allocated for the apprentice’s independent End-Point Assessment at the end of the programme.
